Mousa Dembele

If ever there was one, Mousa Dembele is a players' player. Though he may not attract the headlines of his Tottenham teammates Harry Kane, Christian Eriksen and Dele Alli, the Belgian's craft, guile and staggering industry have earned him a cacophony of praise – mostly from those who play alongside him. He is, as the Guardian's Barney Ronay once put it, "the Premier League's ultimate midfield controller." Indeed, Mauricio Pochettino, his Spurs gaffer, agrees: "For me, he is a genius. An unbelievable player." Whatever's next for this unique talent, he's sure to attack it with all the attributes that have made him one of the most underrated and – perhaps under-appreciated – geniuses of world football.
