Andy Murray
When Andy Murray won his first grand slam title at the 2012 US Open, it opened the floodgates to what has become a career of unprecedented success. Ever since he turned professional in 2005, the boy from Dunblane has been destined for the very top of the game. 2012 Olympic gold on the hallowed turfs of Wimbledon inspired hope for a first British male winner of The Championships since Fred Perry some 77 years earlier and the British public wouldn't be left disappointed when Murray won a highly emotional 2013 final against Novak Djokovic, having come so close in previous years. The Scot went on to win both Olympic gold and the Wimbledon title once more each, as well as leading Great Britain to Davis Cup glory in 2015. With yet more success sure to follow, Murray is surely one of British sport's greatest ever.
