Harry Maguire

Harry Maguire
A real stereotypical, old fashioned centre-back. Harry Maguire ticks all the boxes for what you need a defender to do - strong in the tackle, aggressive and a real presence at the back. Maguire started his playing career in his hometown of Sheffield, where his performances for United led to a host of Premier League clubs come chasing after the centre-back. It was Hull City though, who won the race for the 24-year-old back in the summer of 2014, though it wasn't until the turn of 2017 where we saw the real Harry Maguire. The arrival of Portuguese manager, Marco Silva brought the best out of the defender, as Maguire was Hull's shining light in a season where they were narrowly relegated from England's top flight. His fantastic performances at the back-end of the 2016/2017 season, saw Leicester City come swooping in for his services during the summer. And to cap a memorable year off, the Autumn internationals produced a first collection of England call-ups for Maguire - one thing for sure, this is just the start for the talented centre-back, in this England set-up.
