James Milner

Utility man James Milner may not be the greatest goalscorer of all-time, nor the most skilful, most controversial or most famous. But he is, without doubt, Premier League royalty. The Englishman has well over 500 appearances in the English topflight with stints at Leeds United, Newcastle United, Manchester City and now Liverpool. Twice a Premier League champion, Milner is a perhaps as underrated an assist-maker as there has ever been. That notwithstanding, Milner is and will forever be known for two things: being ironically boring, sure, but also a mainstay of English football.
