Andros Townsend

Coming to England's rescue is usually a good way of winning the hearts of the nation. England lay in a precarious position with just a few games of their 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign to go before Andros Townsend came to their rescue in successive qualifiers against Montenegro and Poland to ensure England would be on the plane to Brazil. His performances for Tottenham Hotspur during the 2013-2014 season made him a key member for both club and country. Andros has since moved to Crystal Palace and continues to perform at the highest level evidenced by his call up to the England squad for the recent 2018 World Cup qualifiers with Malta and Slovenia.
