Serena Williams

Serena Williams
Serena Williams is widely considered to be the greatest women’s tennis player of all time, not to mention the most dominant and most iconic. She won her first singles major at the U.S. Open in 1999 aged 17 and just three years later won both Wimbledon and the French Open. She completed the career singles Grand Slam in 2003 with a win over sister Venus in the Australian Open final. Serena has also shined in doubles, completing the career doubles Grand Slam in 2001. The younger Williams won gold medals in 2000, 2008 and in 2012 (both singles and doubles), and at Wimbledon in 2016 she tied Steffi Graf for the most women’s singles Grand Slam titles (22) in the Open era. In 2017, she broke Graf's record after defeating Venus in the Australian Open final. Serena, who hits as hard as anyone on the WTA tour and possesses a dominant serve, has made an influential name for herself in pop culture, fashion and entertainment throughout her illustrious career.
