Jonny Wilkinson

Jonny Wilkinson
It is one of the most iconic moments in English rugby history. A moment that enshrined Jonny Wilkinson, a humble and determined fly-half from the fringes of Surrey, into the sporting pantheon of his nation. When Wilkinson drove home a drop kick of unerring precision through the posts with just 26 seconds remaining, he ensured his legendary team were crowned champions of the world in the very backyard of their great rivals, the Wallabies. Precious few moments can compare to that but Wilkinson was far from a one kick wonder. His outstanding career spanned 17 years and saw him win four Six Nations titles including a Grand Slam in the same year he and his England teammates conquered the world.
