John Elway

John Elway
Some quarterbacks reach heady heights of fame in their blessed position as the centrepiece of a football team. John Elway was no exception. In his glittering career, his fame went a mile high. The Washington-born signal caller played sixteen years for the Denver Broncos and led them to two Super Bowl victories, including his MVP performance in 1998. He was a nine-time Pro Bowl quarterback, as well as the 1987 NFL MVP. Few enjoy such a healthy popularity in a sports-mad city as Elway does in Denver.
