Not just the world’s greatest rower of all time, Sir Steve Redgrave is widely regarded as the greatest Olympian of all time. Having boldly challenged himself at the beginning of his career to win three Olympic gold medals, Steve went on to win an incredible five golds in five successive Olympic Games from 1984 to 2000. It is an incredible record that is unlikely to be repeated.
Steve is a sporting icon, and has also won three Commonwealth Games gold medals and nine World Rowing Championships gold medals. He has carried the British flag at the opening of the Olympic Games on two occasions.
“I've had enough. If anybody sees me going anywhere near a boat again they have my permission to shoot me.”- Sir Steve Redgrave (after winning gold in Atlanta for the 4th time)
That statement was made in 1996 but Steve had more to give. In Sydney four years later, he won his record-breaking fifth consecutive Olympic gold.
We are proud to stock a fantastic range of signed Sir Steve Redgrave memorabilia in assocation with the official licensee Innovative Sports Ltd.
