The scorer of perhaps the greatest goal Wembley has ever seen, the name Ricky Villa is still revered in one half of North London. The languid Argentine midfielder meandered his way into the history books when he took on the entire Manchester City defence en route to scoring the winning goal of the 1981 FA Cup final. Even for a member of the World Cup-winning Argentina squad of 1978 that must have been something special. Villa, along with his compatriot Ossie Ardiles, were standard bearers for foreign stars looking to ply their trade in England and as such set an excellent example for future imports.
