Gary Cahill

A mainstay in both the England and Chelsea set-ups for several years now, Gary Cahill is a special talent. The centre-back is the fastest player in Premier League history to win every major club trophy available, having captured the league title as well as the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, FA Cup and Capital One Cup – all in the space of just three years. Having initially impressed at Bolton Wanderers, the Derbyshire lad was brought to Chelsea by Andre Villas-Boas in January 2012. Forming an unbreakable partnership with club legend John Terry, Cahill has maintained his position in the side despite several managerial changes and, like Terry, Cahill boasts a surprisingly high goal tally for a defender. A hero on that famous night in Munich, when Chelsea triumphed in the UEFA Champions League final against Bayern Munich, Cahill was one of the standout performers throughout the triumphant 2011-12 tournament. His pace and ball technique are key assets for both club and country and he is rightly ranked among the best English defenders around.
