Wayne Rooney signed shirts - at last!

by Steve 6. April 2010 16:41

Although we all support different clubs at icons, there's one team that lets us all enjoy the (rare) highs and (regular) lows together... England.  As such we've been wanting to meet up with England's greatest player Wayne Rooney for quite some time.  With Dan and Edward in the States and Natalie looking after base camp, Tom and I were the lucky ones who got to meet the Manchester United superstar.

On top of discussing the footballing world with Wayne, we also found out he's a big fan of signed memorabilia himself and agreed to pick him up a Diego Maradona shirt when we next meet up with the legendary Argentinean.

Take a look at Rooney's incredible range of personally hand-signed Manchester United and England shirts, photographs and boots now and make sure you don't miss out on the piece you want.  With the World Cup just around the corner, this could be the smartest investment you ever make...

Football, it's a funny old game

by Dan 15. January 2010 04:55
Obviously we love what we do but we also love the clubs we support too. Today is not a great day in the office for all of us...

Liverpool's season spirals out of control

QPR sack their second manager in 6 weeks

Leicester supremo charged with tax evasion

Southend slapped with another wind up order

And even Manchester United are heading towards financial meltdown

Still at least we have the cricket to cheer us up, oh dear!

WORLD EXCLUSIVE: CRISTIANO RONALDO SIGNED REAL MADRID SHIRTS ONLY ON ICONS.COM

by Dan 23. November 2009 14:53

Cristiano Ronaldosigned Real Madrid shirts must be the most sought after piece of football memorabilia in the world. Icons.com have done numerous signings with Cristiano in the past so we were really excited to meet up with him in Madrid this weekend and have him sign Real Madrid home and away shirts, a selection of action photos, two differnt colours of his famous Nike Vapour boots and some Portugal shirts.

Ronaldo only signs for icons.com and we've worked with the current FIFA World Player of the Year for over five years now, going back to when he was establishing himself in the Manchester United team. The full range of Real Madrid products will be on the site tomorrow, but we still have a small amount of shirts and photos left from his last signing with us in February this year where he signed a number of Manchester United products for us.

He was looking fit and well and we hope he'll be back in the Real Madrid line up in time for 'El Clasico', the game everyone in world football is looking forward too this weekend when the Champions League winners Barcelona take on Real Madrid's new generation of Galacticos. Who will come out on top in the contest between Cristiano and Lionel Messi, hotly tipped to supplant Ronaldo as officially the best player in world football when the FIFA award is announced in early December?

We're just happy to have both amazing players available on the icons.com site. We can honestly say our memorabilia is defintely signed by the world's best.

Real Madrid First Galacticos Era

by Dan 14. October 2009 07:43

As you know icons.com is the world's leading supplier of signed football memorabilia. We've been meeting with world's best players for nearly 10 years now and bringing our customers the best quality products out there.

We were looking back in the archive of our signing photos throughout those 10 years and found these classics from the first Galactico era of Floretino Perez at Real Madrid. Back then we conducted numerous signings with the top players from that team.

Check out the signing photos of the orginal Ronaldo - the World Cup's greatest goalscorer of all-time

We also met the first of Perez's signings, Portuguese legend Luis Figo - signed from arch-rivals Barcelona for a then record transfer fee of £38.7m.

Icons.com also conducted a signing session with the best attacking full back of his era, Roberto Carlos, scorer of possibly the best free kick of all-time

and World Cup winner in 2002.

And as we were meeting all three of these superstars within a few months of each other we were able to create one of the most unique products we've ever had - a triple-signed Real Madrid Galatico photo.

As we only ever had limited supplies of these products they all sold out extremely quickly so unfortunately we don't have any more of them available.

However in a World Cup year there's always the possibility of new signings with these legends.

And if we were ever able to arrange signings with Zinedine Zidane and David Beckham the people who had signed up to the icons.com newsletter would certainly be the first to know. Watch this space.

Real Madrid New Galacticos Era

by Dan 14. October 2009 07:00

Icons.com have also done a number of signing sessions with the two main Real MadridGalacticos from the second coming of Senor Perez - Cristiano Ronaldo...

And Brazilian superstar Kaka.

And after Liverpool won the Champions League in 2005, icons.com also had the pleasure of meeting up with Xavi Alonso, the last of Real's summer signings.

We obviously undertook these signing sessions when they were playing for their old clubs, Manchester United,Liverpool and AC Milan, and as you can imagine we have a good relationship with the players and their representatives so we're working overtime to arrange new signings with them at their new club.

Sign up to the icons.com newsletter to be the first to find out and check out all the Galatico signing photos on our Flickr page.

New Fernando Torres memorabilia available

by Dan 21. August 2009 12:28

Fernando Torres recently conducted his sixth signing for icons; we are delighted to have a new range of products available.

Fans will be excited to learn we have photos from two of Liverpool's greatest victories last season, showing Fernando's celebrations after scoring against both Real Madrid and Manchester United.

We also have a limited edition of embroidered Euro 2008 Spain shirts. There are currently no more of these shirts available on the market so it is unlikely we will be able to offer this product again in the future.

Check back soon when we will be unveiling a new, very limited edition shirt signed with his special El Nino signature.

Man United's best ever players

by Dan 5. June 2009 12:25

Is Cristiano Ronaldo only the 50th best player ever to play for Manchester United? Not even as good as Andy, sorry, Andrew Cole?

The Times released their list of the 50 best footballers to play for Manchester United this week, and as always with these lists there were some surprising choices.

Sir Bobby Charlton headed the 50 at number one: survivor of the Munich air crash, inspiration at Wembley 68 and chief protagonist behind bringing Alex Ferguson to Old Trafford, it's hard to argue against those credentials.

George Best, one of the most charismatic and skilful players not only of the Sixties but of all time, was second, with Munich victim Duncan Edwards at number three.

The enigmatic Eric Cantona came in at fourth, with captain marvel Bryan Robson at five, while record appearance holder Ryan Giggs was ranked seven.

Icons has a great choice of Man Utd memorabilia available from the players. Number is where they came in the Times ranking.

50 Cristiano Ronaldo memorabilia
42 Jaap Stam memorabilia
35 Teddy Sheringham memorabilia
8 Denis Law memorabilia
7 Ryan Giggs memorabilia
5 Bryan Robson memorabilia
4 Eric Cantona memorabilia
2 George Best memorabilia
1 Bobby Charlton memorabilia

Ten per cent off Messi and Ronaldo memorabilia

by Dan 27. May 2009 12:24

Tonight's Champions League final has all the makings of a classic. Manchester United and Barcelona have both already wrapped up their domestic titles, in the two strongest leagues in Europe, so whoever wins will truly be able to call themselves the Champions of Europe.

It also pits against each other the two best players in the world right now, Leo Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, in what Fabio Capello has dubbed the unofficial contest for the Ballon d'Or.

Icons has decided to celebrate this momentous occasion by offering 10 per cent off all our Ronaldo and Messi stock for 48 hours.

That's Manchester United home shirts, Barcelona home shirts, Portugal shirts, Argentina shirts, and all signed photographs.

Get yourself a bargain while you can.
