Fernando Torres, best selling icon, to stay at Liverpool

by Dan 4. August 2010 04:34

Great news from Anfield yesterday that Fernando Torres had publically declared his intention to stay at Liverpool. In his own words, "I feel the fans love me and everyone knows I am really happy here and really happy to play at Anfield. I'm looking forward to starting the season."

At icons, we love Fernando Torres too. Fernando Torres signed Liverpool shirt is the best selling product on icons.com, and it was revealed by the Premier League yesterday that Liverpool shirts with his name on the back is the best selling shirt in the world. We know he appeals not just to fans of Liverpool but to all true football fans across the globe who constantly ask us about his products.

Not only is Torres probably the most exciting player in the Premier League, off the pitch, he is always fantastic to deal with in person as well. A true icon of the game.

Messi wins Ballon D'Or

by Dan 1. December 2009 04:47

Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi won the European Footballer of the Year award yesterday topping a poll of journalists from across the world. In a stellar year the little Argentinian won La Liga, El Copa del Rey and the Champions League and helped his national team qualify for the 2010 World Cup. Below is a special commemorative signed 'Campeones 2009' shirt we asked him to do for us at the last signing session we had with him in September.

He won the poll by 240 votes from his nearest challenger Cristiano Ronaldo, another of icons.com star signings. Bareclona and Real Madrid players dominate the poll as the top seven players all played for the Spanish clubs in this calendar year. Steven Gerrard was 10th, Fernando Torres 11th and Cesc Fabregas came in 12th.

New Fernando Torres memorabilia available

by Dan 21. August 2009 12:28

Fernando Torres recently conducted his sixth signing for icons; we are delighted to have a new range of products available.

Fans will be excited to learn we have photos from two of Liverpool's greatest victories last season, showing Fernando's celebrations after scoring against both Real Madrid and Manchester United.

We also have a limited edition of embroidered Euro 2008 Spain shirts. There are currently no more of these shirts available on the market so it is unlikely we will be able to offer this product again in the future.

Check back soon when we will be unveiling a new, very limited edition shirt signed with his special El Nino signature.

Man Utd 1 - Liverpool 4 - Torres shirts reduced

by Dan 17. March 2009 12:14

It's maybe an exaggeration to say that Liverpool's 1-4 win at Old Trafford blew the title race open, but at the very least it gave the Merseyside faithful some bragging rights.

Fernando Torres took his goal superbly to level the scores after Cristiano Ronaldo's penalty and you have to wonder how many points the Anfield side would have accumulated had El Nino been fit all season.

Liverpool FC achieved the result wearing their grey away shirt and any fan wishing to remember the great day should act quickly to bag themselves one of our limited-edition signed Fernando Torres Liverpool away shirts.

To mark the victory we've knocked £14 - yes, that's ONE FOUR - off the price. Fernando signed only ten of these at our last session with him, so these signed shirts are a fantastic item of sports memorabilia.

Torres signs again for Icons

by Dan 29. November 2008 11:06

He loved the new images we have of him and we were only too happy to present him with a photo of him scoring the winning goal in Euro 2008 against Germany. We're sure he'll have it on his wall before long – and you can too. Check out our new Torres products; as well as the Euro 2008 goal, there's a great new photo of Fernando after scoring against Everton this season, plus we've reprinted the fantastic image of his first goal for Liverpool. It's a real favourite, and it seems we can't print enough of them.

We've also created a new range of limited edition signed away shirts and signed Champions League shirts. Fernando only signed ten each of these, so they are an extremely rare and collectable item of sports memorabilia. We've also created a new range of limited edition signed away shirts and signed Champions League shirts.
