Mike Summerbee Signed Manchester City Photo: 1969 League Cup semi-final
Personally signed by Mike Summerbee
A fiery but immensely talented winger, Mike Summerbee is synonymous with one of the most successful periods in Manchester City's history and in a decade of service at Maine Road he was instrumental in helping the club claim the FA Cup, the First Division title and the European Cup Winners' Cup.
In 1968 the club claimed the Old First Division title, edging out arch-rivals Manchester United by two points. The following year City lifted the FA Cup after overcoming Leicester City 1-0 at Wembley and in 1970 Summerbee was part of the side that beat Polish side Gornik Zabrze in Vienna in the final of the European Cup Winners' Cup.
Summerbee left Maine Road in 1975 when he signed for Burnley but his legacy of 357 league appearances and 47 goals, not to mention his medals' haul, ensured he was not forgotten by the City faithful. Mike Summerbee has remained a Man City legend ever since leaving the club in 1975.
This glorious print shows Summerbee scoring against bitter rivals Manchester United in the 1969 League Cup semi-final and is personally signed by the man himself. It's a tremendous item of football memorabilia.
